Slide Effect is rapidly earning a reputation as an entertaining and innovative trombone quartet.

The ensemble is based around the trombone section of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and includes the top free-lance trombonists in the country.

The players regularly play for many musical groups in Scotland, and in many styles. These include the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera, BBC SSO, Scottish Ballet, Kings Of Swing Big Band, Paragon Ensemble and many touring shows.

Although the ensemble is based in Scotland the members have been invited to play with many musical groups around the UK including; Philharmonia Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Northern Sinfonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC NOW.
